Sayglow

Cookie Policy

Effective date: 6 October 2026

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains whether and how cookies and similar technologies are used on sayglow.app and its subdomains (the "Website"), which we operate for the mobile application "Sayglow" (the "App"). It forms part of our Privacy Policy, available at https://sayglow.app/privacy-policy.

The Website is operated by NarrativeLab OÜ, a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Estonia with company number 17007093, whose registered address is Estonia, Harju maakond, Tallinn, Lasnamäe linnaosa, Valukoja tn 8/2, 11415, and which is the controller of personal data processed in connection with the Website ("we", "us" or "our").

2. Summary

The Website does not use cookies. It does not use your browser's local storage or session storage, contains no analytics, advertising pixels, session-recording tools or social media plugins, and loads its code and typefaces from our own domain. Apart from the ordinary technical information that every browser keeps to load pages and connect securely, such as cached files, the only information your browser may keep for the Website is a network error reporting policy set by our hosting provider, as described in Section 4.

Because nothing is stored on your device or read from it beyond what is strictly necessary to deliver the Website reliably and securely, there is nothing for you to consent to, and we do not show a cookie consent banner.

3. Cookies, similar technologies and the law

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep and that is sent back to the website on later visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage, session storage, pixels and tags, are treated in the same way. Under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive), storing information on your device or reading it requires your prior consent, unless it is carried out for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication or is strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested.

4. Hosting, server logs and network error reports

The Website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. Every request you make passes through Cloudflare, which processes the technical information needed to deliver the page and to protect the Website against attacks, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and your browser and operating system. This information is not a cookie and is not used to build a profile of you.

Cloudflare may also ask your browser to keep, for up to seven days, a network error reporting policy for the Website. The policy includes a technical reporting address issued by Cloudflare. If a page later fails to load because of a network problem, your browser uses this policy to send Cloudflare a technical error report, such as the page address, the type of error and the time. We do not use this policy or these reports to recognise you. You can remove the policy by clearing the site data for sayglow.app in your browser.

This processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and available Website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Further details are in Sections 6 to 8 of our Privacy Policy.

5. The mobile application

The App does not use cookies. The Firebase software in the App uses identifiers stored on your device (a technology similar to cookies) and sends analytics and crash data: in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom only after you agree, and elsewhere unless you turn this off in the App's settings. This is described in Sections 2, 4 and 6 of our Privacy Policy.

6. If this changes

If we add to the Website any service that stores information on your device or reads it, for example web analytics, we will update this policy before that service becomes active. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it first, through a banner that lets you accept or refuse as easily as each other and change your choice at any time.

7. Changes and contact

The effective date at the top shows when this policy was last changed. The current version is always available at https://sayglow.app/cookie-policy. For any question, contact us at support@sayglow.app. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee).
